  • Celebrate Washoe Valley 2018

Washoe Lake State Park graciously hosted Celebrate Washoe Valley for the fifth year. Jennifer Dawson, park ranger, was excited to report the impressive number of vehicles that entered the gate to attend the event.  We estimate more than 300 people enjoyed the day. Thank you to the twenty-seven government and community organizations who prepared informative displays and provided educational experiences.  New this year was the Railroad Museum Handcar ride! Special thanks to Boy Scout Troop 150 for the absolutely delicious hamburgers and hot dogs! Heart-warming tunes filled the air thanks to many many musicians, members of the Northern Nevada Bluegrass Association. Thank you to our sponsors. The gift certificates and unique gifts donated for the raffle prompted many to purchase tickets. Funds raised will be used to continue the promotion of the Washoe Valley Scenic Byway make Celebrate Washoe Valley possible in 2019.
